We may also restock various stations containing produce, meats and other foods. Volunteering with Loaves & Fishes is a very rewarding experience - please consider giving your time!

SWAP don't SHOP! Bring your gently used clothes and trade them with other guests to make a fashion that is new to you! All unwanted clothes will be donated to charity! What to bring: 10+ gently used and cleaned clothing items. You can bring baby, children and/or adult sized clothing!
Rules: Once all the clothing is setup we will pull numbers to see who will shop first. 3 people will shop at a time. Each person will have 3 clothespins to pin the items they would like! If shoppers pin the same item then they will roll a dice to see who keeps the item. Winner keeps it and loser re-pins a new item. Each round of 3 shoppers will receive 1 item. Once all shoppers receive 1 item in the next round shoppers will receive 2 items and this process will continue until everyone leaves with as many items as desired.
3:00 - 3:45 - Clothing set up, drinks and snacks
3:45 - 4:00 - Numbers will be pulled and rules reviewed
4:00 - until you drop! - Shopping!
Join the DPA in making dinner for the residents of Charlottesville’s Ronald McDonald House, which provides a home away from home for families with children suffering from long-term illnesses and serious injuries. Children and student partners are welcome.

Book Choice: The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo
Looking forward to this book. This was Reese Witherspoon’s book club book for February and the reviews say you just can’t put it down. Hope you can get some reading in over spring break!
He was the first person to inspire her, to move her, to truly understand her. Was he meant to be the last?
Lucy is faced with a life-altering choice. But before she can make her decision, she must start her story—their story—at the very beginning.
Lucy and Gabe meet as seniors at Columbia University on a day that changes both of their lives forever. Together, they decide they want their lives to mean something, to matter. When they meet again a year later, it seems fated—perhaps they’ll find life’s meaning in each other. But then Gabe becomes a photojournalist assigned to the Middle East and Lucy pursues a career in New York. What follows is a thirteen-year journey of dreams, desires, jealousies, betrayals, and, ultimately, of love. Was it fate that brought them together? Is it choice that has kept them away? Their journey takes Lucy and Gabe continents apart, but never out of each other’s hearts.
